My Expertise + Approach
I specialize in working with adults and older adolescents who are struggling with trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. I also love working with the high-achieving woman who knows how to check all the boxes for external "success," but needs help connecting to a deeper sense of self, and challenging perfectionism and self-criticism.
With the goal of delivering a holistic treatment approach of mind + body integration and trauma resolution, I use a variety of modalities including EMDR, mindfulness-based therapies like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), yoga (including trauma-sensitive yoga) and other body-based/somatic work, experiential. When appropriate, I support my clients in exploring spirituality and/or integrating therapy with their 12-step work.
If you'd like to have a consultation to see if we might be a good fit, give me a call or shoot me an email (see contact info at top of this page.)
Note about insurance: My services are self-pay, meaning I am an not in-network provider with insurance. If you'd like to utilize out-of-network benefits, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance afterwards for potential reimbursement for services. If you plan to file for possible reimbursement, you may wish to check with your insurance company ahead of time to see what they will cover for an out-of-network provider. For specific information about my rates, please contact me.
What to Expect
When we schedule our first session, I will send you new client paperwork to review before we meet. The initial session will focus on us getting to know each other and identifying your goals for therapy. This will help me to establish the best overall plan for you including how often we should meet. Whether you've had multiple therapists or this is your first time stepping into a therapist's office, my goal is to offer a warm, non-judgmental, and comfortable space where we can co-create a strong therapeutic relationship that helps you heal and grow.
