Who I Work With + My Approach
I specialize in individual and group therapy with adults struggling with trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. I also love working with high-achieving women who have chased the gold stars a little too long and need help reconnecting to a sense of self, and challenging perfectionism and self-criticism.
With the goal of delivering a holistic treatment approach of mind + body integration and trauma resolution, I use a variety of modalities including EMDR, mindfulness-based therapies like Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and guided meditation, yoga (including trauma-sensitive yoga) and other body-based/somatic work, experiential, psychodrama, spiritual exploration, and integration of 12-step concepts.
Please contact me if you'd like to have a consultation to see if we might be a good fit.
Note about insurance: My services are self-pay, so I do not accept insurance. If you'd like, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance afterwards for potential reimbursement for services. If you are planning to file for possible reimbursement, you may wish to check with your insurance company ahead of time to see what they will cover for an out-of-network provider.
What to Expect
When we schedule our first session, I will send you new client paperwork to complete before the session (or you can arrive at the session early and complete it). The initial session will focus on us getting to know each other and identifying your goals for therapy. This will help me to establish the best overall plan for you including how often we should meet. Whether you've had multiple therapists or this is your first time stepping into a therapist's office, my goal is to offer a warm, non-judgmental, and comfortable space where we can co-create a strong therapeutic relationship that helps you heal and grow.
